Jumping to conclusions

I've never been a fan of Oslo. The boys are cocky and the girls superficial, I used to believe. But after a while, it's become clear that Asker and Bærum are not part of Oslo.

The city is beautiful during summer, though. And Gressholmen, the best island in the Oslo Fjord, is only ten minutes from the city centre.

Culture is also a fair reason to like the city. Morgenbladet symbolises both ridiculous and sympathetic sides of snobbish Oslo's cultural coin: slightly over-academic in its prose and content, but amusingly enrichening to read.

Nice pose, Olav. Anyway, you should visit www.morgenbladet.no. They have this user gratification research thing going, and I see that as a golden opportunity to influence future editions. Vote for more foreign policy and op-eds.

Oh, and you've been messing with the color saturation setting in Photoshop, haven't you?

Asker og Bærum er flotte steder! Har du vært her? Kom å besøk meg, Olav! Må ikke være så fordomsfull!

I feel more or less gratified enough. The paper could use some more nynorsk, though.

Photoshop? No, no. It's all natural. Like a glossy magazine cover. (No further comparison implied.)

AD, du treng ca fem år, med litt innsats. Viss eg blir buande i Oslo like lenge vil eg sjølvsagt vatne ut identiteten kraftig. Da vinn du heilt sikkert.

Har vore på Nadderud éin gong, og har vore på IKEA i Asker. Eg må få lov til å ha nokre fordommar. Men elles kjem eg gjerne på Bærums-besøk.
